Single trip travel insurance

Single trip travel insurance is designed for one-off holidays. It covers you for a round trip, from the moment you leave home until you return. 

 

With Staysure, policies are available up to age 85 and can include most pre-existing medical conditions. You’ll also be covered if you have to cancel or cut your trip short unexpectedly. 

 

If you’re planning several holidays in a year, you may find our annual multi-trip cover works out as better value. 

 

Your single trip policy covers you as soon as it’s in place – starting with cancellation protection from the day you buy it. Other benefits apply during your trip, including: 

 

• emergency medical treatment and repatriation 
• lost, stolen or delayed baggage, money or passports 
• travel delays and missed departures 
• trip curtailment if you need to come home early

 

By declaring any pre-existing medical conditions when you get your quote, you’ll also be protected against unexpected health costs abroad. 

Every holiday is different – so your single trip policy should fit the way you like to travel. With Staysure, you can add extras such as: 

 

• Cruise cover – choose this when buying if your trip is a cruise, with protection for itinerary changes, missed ports, cabin confinement and medical care at sea. 
• Winter sports cover – available on single trips if you’re aged 70 or under (for annual Comprehensive, it’s already included for 2 trips, 21 days combined). 
• Excess waiver – remove the policy excess so you won’t pay towards approved claims. 
• Single item cover – increase protection for valuable belongings up to €1,000 each. 
• 100-day upgrade – extend one Comprehensive trip from 50 days to 100 days (for travellers aged 70 or under).
