Travelling with a medical condition?
We cover most pre-existing medical conditions – even for older travellers or those with complex health needs – so you can explore with confidence. From asthma and diabetes to heart conditions and high blood pressure, we’re here to help you travel safely.
When you get a quote, you’ll complete a short medical questionnaire so we can tailor your cover to your needs.
- Medical and repatriation protection included as standard.
- 24/7 medical emergency helpline, wherever you are in the world.
- Fast access to approved care abroad, with direct billing to hospitals where possible.
Even if you have a GHIC or EHIC, these only cover limited state healthcare and won’t pay for private treatment or getting you home – that’s where we step in.
Single trip and annual worldwide expat travel insurance
Every traveller has different plans – from quick getaways to extended adventures. That’s why our worldwide expat travel insurance is available in two flexible options: single trip cover for one-off journeys, and annual multi-trip cover for those who travel more often.
Single trip travel insurance
Perfect for one-off holidays. Includes protection for cancellations, emergency medical expenses, repatriation to your country of residence, lost baggage and more. Depending on your age and destination, we can often cover trips of up to 18 months.
Annual multi-trip travel insurance
Ideal for regular travellers. Take multiple trips within a 12-month period and enjoy the same great benefits every time. Annual worldwide policies cover multiple trips up to 50 days each (35 days if you’re over 70).

Optional extras for your worldwide expat travel insurance
Wherever you’re headed, add optional extras to give your trip the right level of cover for your plans:
- Cruise cover – protection for missed ports, cabin confinement, and cruise-specific medical emergencies.
- Winter sports cover – includes protection for unexpected medical costs, lost or damaged ski equipment, unused passes, piste closures and avalanches. Available for single trip travellers aged 70 and under, and included as standard with Comprehensive annual policies (limited to 2 trips per year with a combined maximum of 21 days).*
- Excess waiver – if you need to make a claim, having an excess waiver means you won’t have to pay any excess from your own pocket for each item you’re claiming for. This can’t be added retrospectively.*
- Single item cover – this option increases your single item, personal baggage cover beyond the standard €450, up to €1,000. To do this you’ll need to describe the item you’re covering and Single Item cover can’t be added retrospectively.*
- 100-day upgrade – extend a 50-day trip to 100 days for one trip (ages 70 and under, Comprehensive policies only).
*Available on Comprehensive policies only.
